ABOUT PLANTA 13 PRODUCTIONS

Planta 13 started life as a Spanish language blog when Diego Sánchez was studying Journalism at the University of Salamanca (Spain).  Over the next three years, the blog grew and grew, eventually attracting thousands of subscribers.

Planta 13 became highly influential, helping Diego to gain access to world famous producers and directors for interviews, and was the only Spanish blog ever to be invited to visit Pixar Animation Studios in San Francisco.  It was thus natural that Diego should take the name of Planta 13 (in English, "The 13th Floor") when starting his own business as a filmmaker.

Planta 13 is a genre focused independent production company. Planta 13 writes, produces and films documentaries, short movies and feature films, aiming to entertain , and have a voice in this ever more globally connected world.

Planta 13 Productions has recently released the horror short film Giggles. The film has been supported by the BFI, selected finalist of the Talenthouse competition in October 2014 and Screened at the legendary Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square.  Planta 13 also participated on the Phonetastic Sitges Film festival 2014 and it won the "[REC]: Lost Tales" short movie contest in spring 2014 in Spain.
